Aloe vera gel, the most common iteration, is harvested from the inner fillet of the plant's leaf, from which pulp is removed to produce a clear gel. It is found in beverages, as a laxative, or in topical skin treatments as a moisturizer for minor burns, psoriasis, dandruff, or sunburn.
